We love the mighty Canberra Raiders
Representatives from various Auckland rugby league clubs gathered at Go Media Stadium today to witness the New Zealand Warriors' final field session before their upcoming match against the Canberra Raiders.
The Warriors extended an invitation to the clubs in an effort to foster stronger relationships and provide a glimpse into their team's preparation and facilities.
The Canberra Raiders have assured fans the squad is safe after a shooting in Auckland near the team hotel on Thursday morning.
Three people - including a gunman - were killed, and six others injured after a shooting in Auckland's CBD around 7am.
The incident which occurred at a construction site on Queen Street, was just a few hundred metres from the hotel the Raiders were staying ahead of their game on Friday night against the New Zealand Warriors.
With just seven rounds of the regular season left, the finals race is heating up.
You can just about bank on the Panthers, Broncos, Storm, Raiders and Warriors to be there come September, while the Sharks and Rabbitohs are a good chance too.
But the final spot in the top eight is going to be an interesting race between the Eels and Cowboys.
Put a line through the Roosters because they have just a 5.4% chance of playing finals this season, however the Knights are still clinging to a little bit of hope.
