Josh McCrone Retires from Rugby League
Josh McCrone has retired from rugby league after a notable career spanning several teams.

Josh McCrone, a former playmaker in the NRL, has officially retired from rugby league. Known for his time with the Canberra Raiders and St George Illawarra Dragons, McCrone played his last NRL match in 2017. Over his career, he participated in 133 games for the Raiders from 2009 to 2015, later joining the Dragons where he added 28 more matches to his record between 2016 and 2017.
During his career, McCrone received notable accolades, including being named the 2015 NSW Cup Five-Eighth of the Year and representing Country Origin three times. He also had a stint with the Toronto Wolfpack in the Super League, where he contributed 43 points in 40 games across three seasons.
In his most recent chapter, McCrone played for the Temora Dragons in the Group 9 competition, leading the team to the finals before facing elimination against the Young Cherrypickers in the minor semi-final.

If ever there was a game to revive memories of the 2019 grand final, this was it.
In a game littered with controversial decisions, the Broncos came from being down 28-12 to defeat the Raiders in golden point 29-28, with a Ben Hunt field goal sealing the victory in one of the wildest games in the history of the NRL.
The Raiders and their supporters believed they had won the game twice to that point, but the charge down on a Reece Walsh field goal attempt was deemed illegal while the bunker also ruled Jed Stuart had knocked the ball on in the tap down for Jamal Fogarty's no try.
