The Raiders' Round 23 loss may inspire their NRL premiership victory after two winning streaks.

If the Canberra Raiders go onto to win the NRL premiership, they'll look back on their shock Round 23 loss to St George Illawarra as a major factor.
I believe it will be the defeat to push them in the direction their football must go.
Canberra have enjoyed a long winning streak, actually they've had two - a five-game run of victories early in the season before a loss to Canterbury, and then nine straight after that.
An amazing feat and one of which club, coach and player must be proud.

Raiders players excited for home finals prospect
Canberra Raiders expect to host two home finals as 2025 season approaches. Exciting prospects!

As the Canberra Raiders march towards the tail end of the 2025 season, the prospect of hosting two home finals looms.
According to Fox League, with five games to go and a "soft draw", the Canberra side look certainties for a top two finish and two chances at home finals at GIO Stadium.
Raiders Centre Sebastian Kris said following the final home game at GIO Stadium on 30 August, the prospect of hosting home finals was very exciting.
"It's something we're starting to talk about," he told CD at a press conference on 6 August.

The penalty that would've actually taught Penrith a lesson
Penrith claims victimhood, but they've repeatedly committed offenses without facing serious consequences.

If you were to listen to Penrith and their cheerleaders you'd think they'd been hard done by.
The poor little fourpeat champions are apparently the victims.
But in reality all they've received is a slap on the wrist. Despite being systemic offenders - not once, not twice, but six times. And that's not even counting their other offence last weekend that they somehow got away with. (Another Penrith trainer was on the field after the fourth tackle, which is when they're meant to depart.)
