Conditions forced the hill to be closed at WIN Stadium and with winds gusting over 50 km/h the wind favoured the hosts big time and they capitalised of mounting pressure just after the ten minute mark when Mat Feagai crossed through some soft defence. The conversion was good.

Despite having all the ball and territory against them, the Raiders closed the gap when the Dragons failed to take advantage of the wind at their backs and Matt Timoko sliced through for an easy try. Jamal Fogarty needed some assistance to keep the ball on the tee but the wind pushed it away.
