Two serving New South Wales police officers have pleaded not guilty to common assault after a brawl with NRL star Tom Starling at a Central Coast venue more than three years ago.
The now 25-year-old Canberra Raiders player had been celebrating a friend's birthday at Kincumber's Shady Palms restaurant on December 5, 2020, when police were called to the venue and an altercation occurred.
Starling, who received facial injuries at the time, was initially charged with seven offences, including attempting to take a police officer's gun.
He was cleared of any wrongdoing last year.
