Reports from news.com.au have revealed that a brouhaha has erupted over Channel 9's decision to snub Canberra and Newcastle for the opening round of the 2024 NRL season.
The drama continues to swirl behind the scenes as the league prepares to announce the full draw for the upcoming season on Monday.
According to News Corp, Channel 9 expressed its concerns to the NRL on Thursday, pushing for a late change to the fixture in order to remove the Raiders and Knights from the Round 1 Thursday night match.

First Five Raiders Opponents of NRL Season 2024 Revealed
The Raiders will face a reasonable level of difficulty in their first five games of the season. While they will only play two top eight teams, they will have the added challenge of playing three of those games on the road. The Green Machine will play at home only once during the opening month of the 2024 NRL Season.

Not only because of how passionate he is about the capital, but how angry he gets about Canberra constantly being given the rough end of the pineapple.
