Ryan Papenhuyzen has been named on the bench for the Storm's qualifying final against the Broncos on Friday night.

He made his first grade return a fortnight ago in a 20-minute cameo off the bench against the Titans in round 26, and then returned to the starting side last week against the Broncos after coach Craig Bellamy rested a stack of stars.

After his return against the Titans, Papenhuyzen declared he didn't want to "rock the apple cart" with his return to the team, and Cameron Munster also confirmed he would likely play an "X-Factor" role off the bench.

Canberra Weekly

Jarrod Croker may have played his last game for the Canberra Raiders, with the 307-game veteran left out of the Raiders' 17 to play the Newcastle Knights in an Elimination Final on Sunday afternoon.

Croker was a late omission in the Raiders' 24-6 loss to Cronulla last weekend, and played just three minutes against Brisbane in round 26 in what was his last home match at GIO Stadium.

The Raiders have made just one change to their personnel, with James Schiller coming onto the wing for the suspended Sebastian Kris.

The Knights have received a huge boost, with both Kalyn Ponga and Jackson Hastings returning.

The Broncos' general returns at halfback while Pat Carrigan has also been named at lock.
