    In a clash between the Green Machine and the Sharks at PointsBet Stadium, the Raiders suffered a 24-6 defeat, despite securing their place in the finals.

    The Raiders got off to a strong start, with Jordan Rapana scoring the opening try in his 200th NRL game.

    Rapana displayed his experience by winning an aerial duel over Connor Tracey, thanks to a pinpoint kick from Jamal Fogarty.

    Fogarty successfully converted the try, giving the Green Machine an early 6-0 lead within the first five minutes of the game.

    Is the silver lining to Sebastian Kris's horror tackle a Canberra Raiders' recall for co-captain Jarrod Croker?

    After the club great was left out of their final-round clash against Cronulla, it'll be interesting to see if he comes back in for the Green Machine's knockout final against Newcastle next week.

    The Raiders will travel to Newcastle to take on the Knights on Sunday - and they'll do so probably without Kris after he was sent off for his dangerous tackle on Cronulla winger Sione Katoa in the Sharks' 24-6 win.

    Sebastian Kris was sent off for the ugliest of lifting tackles gone wrong, and while it wasn't always pretty, Cronulla have secured a hard fought 24-6 win and a home final, but it might have cost them yet another fullback.

    PointsBet Stadium erupted, and former Sharks coach Ricky Stuart found seemingly every eyeball on him, when Kris dumped Sione Katoa on his head in the 59th minute and a tense game was turned the same way.

    With Cronulla hanging onto a tight 10-6 lead but playing nowhere near their best, a probing crossfield kick was sent Katoa's way.
