Ricky Stuart's brutal Jack Wighton revelation amid drama at Rabbitohs

Canberra coach Ricky Stuart has risked the wrath of NRL rivals South Sydney after weighing in on the turmoil at the club with a cheeky dig about Jack Wighton. The Rabbitohs - who have been splashed across the nation's back pages this week following the unceremonious exit of assistant coach Sam Burgess - signed Wighton on a four-year, $3.2 million dollar deal from the start of next season.

The Bunnies have been under fire this week, with Burgess' exit coming after reports of disharmony at the club. It's been widely reported that coach Jason Demetriou fell out with Burgess after the Englishman called him out for giving preferential treatment to star players, Latrell Mitchell and Cody Walker.

Melbourne Storm legend Cameron Smith has given his support to Ryan Papenhuyzen's return to the NRL, backing coach Craig Bellamy to introduce the fullback this week.

Papenhuyzen has been sidelined for nearly a year with a fractured kneecap he sustained in a game against the Raiders.

He has since played three games in the Queensland Cup and is on the cusp of making his NRL comeback.

Bellamy and the Storm have been tight-lipped about when they will deploy Papenhuyzen in first grade, but have hinted that it could be before the finals.

Cameron Smith makes eye-opening call on Ryan Papenhuyzen's return to NRL

Melbourne Storm legend Cameron Smith has backed Craig Bellamy to introduce Ryan Papenhuyzen this week as the fullback looks to make a comeback. Papenhuyzen recently returned to the playing field after close to 12 months on the sidelines with a fractured kneecap he suffered in a game against the Raiders year.

The dynamic fullback has played three games in the Queensland Cup and appears on the verge of making his return to the NRL. Bellamy and the Storm have remained coy about if and when they will deploy Papenhuyzen in first grade, but have suggested it could come before the finals.
