NRL ladder predictor: Where every team will finish the 2023 regular season

With just four rounds remaining in the NRL regular season, there are still 12 teams who can 'mathematically' make the finals. We've looked into the crystal ball to predict who will make it and who will miss out, and it looks like bad news for the Raiders and Eels.

It's hard to see the Panthers losing another game, with the Sea Eagles (away), Titans (A), Eels (home) and Cowboys (H) on the schedule. Even if they finish on the same points as the Broncos (they're currently both on 36), the Panthers will have a far superior for-and-against.

The NRL has confirmed two games will be played in Las Vegas to launch the 2024 season, with Manly, Brisbane, South Sydney and the Sydney Roosters locked in to feature.

The matches will be the first for premiership points to be contested outside Oceania and were confirmed Friday afternoon after months of build-up.

The NRL invited clubs to submit expressions of interest to be involved in the fixtures, with the successful applicants notified Friday. 

The Canberra Raiders and Melbourne Storm were also considered before being overlooked.

Comparisons with Canberra champions Laurie Daley and Jack Wighton are hardly quietening the buzz around new Raider Ethan Strange, with coach Ricky Stuart admitting to some encouraging similarities with the club legends.

Stuart insisted Strange is more than ready for his NRL debut against Melbourne this weekend, with the 18-year-old picked at centre after injuries to Sebastian Kris and Jarrod Croker.

Viewed as a long-term half after impressing in that role at NSW Cup level, the teen star has shown enough for Stuart to back him in the crunch encounter against the Storm.
