Zero Tackle

The Canberra Raiders have reportedly locked up, or are close to locking up, the signatures of Tom Starling, Peter Hola, Chevy Stewart and Adrian Trevilyan on new contracts.

Starling is the most recognisable (and possibly important) of the quartet, with the explosive dummy half now being 81 games into his NRL career. He has played in 18 games this season and was one of only two Raiders' players to take to the field in every game last season.

The Newcastle Knights' debutant has been with the Raiders since 2019, having made his NRL debut with the Newcastle Knights for a single game in 2018, and according to The Canberra Times will extend his tenure in the Nation's Capital until at least the end of 2025.

Fox League

Sharks enforcer Cameron McInnes delivered a hell of a knock against the Panthers, making a record 78 tackles in his side's 28-0 loss.

In the absence of skipper Dale Finucane, the 29-year-old played 80 minutes in the middle and after the Fox Sports Lab analysed the numbers, McInnes' total was crowned the most tackles in a game ever.

McInnes bested the previous record of 74, held by Raiders lock Shaun Fenson during his side's 2011 clash with the Bulldogs.

PLAYER OF THE ROUND: Jahrome Hughes. The Melbourne halfback had four try assists, made three line breaks, scored a try and ran for 185m in the 46-16 win over Parramatta. Hughes' stellar display came at just the right time as the Storm kept their top four hopes alive ahead of the away showdown with Penrith next week.
