Kitione Kautoga suffered an ankle injury, sidelining him for up to eight weeks, ending his season.

The Parramatta Eels have confirmed forward Kitione Kautoga has suffered an ankle syndesmosis injury.

The forward was substituted out of Parramatta's loss to the Penrith Panthers shortly before halftime on Sunday afternoon after appearing to have been the recipient of a hip drop tackle from centre Izack Tago.

Kautoga has now been confirmed by the Eels to be out for up to eight weeks, effectively ending his season on the spot.

The NRL has exactly eight weeks remaining in the regular season as of Round 20 - when the Eels clash with the Canberra Raiders this weekend - so Kautoga would need the blue and gold to mount an unlikely finals campaign...

After it was revealed that Cody Walker will be out for the rest of the 2025 NRL season, three more South Sydney Rabbitohs players are rumoured to be joining him.

Not selected to face the Penrith Panthers on Friday evening, rumours from NRL Physio have emerged that Campbell Graham (back) and Davvy Moale (wrist) wil not play again in 2025.

The Sydney Morning Herald has also previously reported that dummy-half Brandon Smith won't be rushed back and the club will take a cautious approach with his return.

Jock Madden is negotiating to leave Brisbane Broncos, seeking a new team for 2026, potentially Hull FC.

Unlikely to remain at Red Hill, Brisbane Broncos playmaker Jock Madden has reportedly begun talks with another team to join them in 2026.

Previously told that he is free to leave if he finds a new home elsewhere, Madden's imminent departure comes as the Broncos look to free up some space in their salary cap after offering big-money contracts to the likes of Ben Hunt, Blake Mozer, Kotoni Staggs, Ezra Mam and Reece Walsh.
