Playing in a Queensland jersey has been a "massive dream" for Corey Horsburgh, a player for the Maroons, since he was a young boy.
Now, as that dream becomes a reality, he is inspiring thousands of young fans who share the same aspiration.
Despite the pouring rain, Horsburgh and the Queensland State of Origin team took the time to greet over 4,000 fans at Barlow Park oval in Cairns.
The Brick is sick of seeing the Blues lose and is demanding a change.
Raiders two-time premiership winner Glenn Lazarus put his hand up to get back involved with NSW Origin camp after being left "really disappointed" by the entire approach of the Blues in recent years.
"I'd love to be a part of it, but I wouldn't want to coach," he told The Canberra Times.

In pouring rain, Horsburgh and the Queensland State of Origin team greeted more than 4,000 fans on Tuesday at Barlow Park oval in Cairns ahead of game three next Wednesday in Sydney.
"I can't wait for the week ahead," Horsburgh said, adding he felt grateful for the opportunity.
"It's been a massive dream of mine since I was a little boy."
