Ricky Stuart is showing faith in the players who were belted by the New Zealand Warriors, but the Canberra Raiders coach says they can't afford a repeat of their second-half capitulation this week against the Sydney Roosters.

Stuart also said a mid-season review highlighted a number of defensive and attacking areas they needed to work on, as well as the fact their form at home hasn't been up to scratch.

The Raiders face a crucial clash against the Roosters at Sydney Football Stadium on Sunday off the back of the 22-point loss to the Warriors.

The quartet made their Rugby League World Cup debut together taking Papua New Guinea (PNG) to its first semifinal. 

Once again, they're creating history by each other's side, but this time in Townsville.

Essay Banu, Sera Koroi, Shellie Long and Jessikah Reeves followed their PNG Orchids head coach Ben Jeffries back  to Townsville to be a part of the Cowboys' first NRLW team, with Jeffries at the helm.

The Cowboys, Canberra Raiders, West Tigers and Cronulla Sharks have expanded into the NRLW this year, bringing the women's premiership to a 10-team format with nine rounds before play-offs.

Utility Simi Sasagi will join the Canberra Raiders next year after the Newcastle Knights released him from the final year of his contract.

The two clubs have been involved in negotiations on a potential swap deal that would see Sasagi move on immediately.

But at this stage, no deal has been brokered.
