    'A clear winner': future and current Raiders captains claim Meninga Medals

    Tapine and Taufa win Meninga Medals as top Raiders players for the year.

    One current Canberra captain and a future one took out the Mal Meninga Medals in what was a repeat of last year's Raiders top gongs.

    Joe Tapine claimed his third straight NRL Meninga Medal, to become just the third Raider to achieve the feat, while Simaima Taufa made it back-to-back NRLW ones at Parliament House on Monday night.

    Tapine joined Laurie Daley and Josh Papali'i as the only other members of the Green Machine to win three straight players-of-the-year awards, while only those two have more Meninga Medals than Tapine now.
