Hudson Young is set to consider a four-year, $4.4 million deal according to The Sydney Morning Herald, as the Raiders look to keep him locked in long-term.
Young's contract has been a hot topic after he was linked with the PNG Chiefs, but complications arose around what the incoming franchise was prepared to offer.
PNG were reportedly set to table a deal worth $900,000 per year which would have enabled Young to earn more than what he's on at the Raiders due to tax-free concessions at the club.
However, the Chiefs were told if they wanted the Origin star they needed to offer his market value of $1.1 million. Since then, the interest has cooled, with the Raiders now in the box-seat to retain the back-rower.
