Canberra coach Ricky Stuart is “embarrassed” he called Penrith’s Jaeman Salmon a “weak-gutted dog”, the club’s chief executive says.
Ahead of the NRL handing down a sanction for Stuart’s slur, Raiders CEO Don Furner reiterated his club would accept whatever penalty is delivered.
That penalty is expected to be announced on Tuesday afternoon, and is likely to include a suspension that prevents Stuart coaching his Raiders on Sunday against St George Illawarra.
