Cronulla Sharks playmaker Braydon Trindall will undergo the knife during the off-season to get his shoulder right for the beginning of the club's 2027 campaign.
Trindall dislocated his shoulder in the opening minutes of Round 24 against the Raiders, slamming the ball down in the in-goal for a try, and popping out his shoulder in the process.
Sharks' medical team was able to pop it back in with ease, but he missed a few weeks to build back strength in the joint.
Trindall returned for the club's finals run after a patchy few weeks of form without him.
