Las Vegas: Build it and they will come. Canberra Raiders chief executive Don Furner says if cities want events and people to come to them then they need to invest in modern facilities.
Furner spent last week getting a first-hand look at Las Vegas, which is arguably the king of attracting both visitors and events.
He toured the Las Vegas Raiders' $255 million training facilities, which boasts an indoor training field for the NFL team, and then visited the $3 billion Allegiant Stadium, where the Green Machine kicked off the NRL season.
