And the Canberra coach thinks the contract could be wrapped up quickly.
The Raiders offered Young a $3.3 million, three-year deal, which would keep him in lime green until at least the end of 2030.
But expansion club PNG Chiefs were interested in signing the NSW Blues star - until the NRL insisted the Chiefs offer Young market value.
