Canberra Raiders star Jack Wighton will make his World Cup debut as Australia roll out their most Kangaroos debutants in 15 years.
Wighton is on the bench for his third Test match, with coach Mal Meninga naming seven new faces for their Rugby League World Cup opener against Fiji.
Meninga confirmed on Tuesday night he would rest grand final players from his opening team, meaning Daly Cherry-Evans will get the first shot as halfback.
