Australia, England or NZ? Strange makes call on international allegiance

Ethan Strange replaces injured Mitchell Moses in the Australian Rugby League World Cup squad following Australia's win over New Zealand.

Zero Tackle

Canberra Raiders five-eighth Ethan Strange has been called into the Australian side for the Rugby League World Cup, replacing Mitchell Moses.

The Parramatta Eels playmaker went down with what appeared to be a leg injury in Australia's 24-22 come-from-behind win over New Zealand in the tournament opener on Thursday night.

It was reported on Saturday afternoon that Moses has been ruled out of the World Cup and that the Kangaroos would need to decide who will replace the halfback in the squad.

Strange represented the NSW Blues in State of Origin this year and was one of the three shadow players picked for this World Cup.
