Canberra has pulled off a timely recruitment coup, with promising Panthers back-rower Zac Hosking joining the club immediately on a three-year NRL deal.
The 26-year-old had a breakout campaign with the reigning premiers last year, making 21 appearances and crossing for three tries, but was overlooked for the NRL grand final victory over the Broncos.
Hosking had been linked with a switch to the nation's capital in recent months and both clubs confirmed the move on Wednesday afternoon, with Penrith granting the forward an early release from his playing contract.
