    With just two wins separating them from the top five of the Blumers Lawyers George Tooke Shield (GTS) men's tackle competition, the North Canberra Bears are teetering on the edge of 'must-win' territory.

    As they gear up for the final six rounds of the regular season, the Bears are under immense pressure to secure their spot in finals. A daunting run home commences on Saturday when they host the Binalong Brahmans at Kaleen.

    In Round Seven, the Bears made a resounding statement, firing back into contention and defeating 2023 grand finalists Crookwell 26-14 at Crookwell Memorial Oval.

    Big win has Roverettes with one eye on finals

    Boorowa Roverettes moving up GTS league tag ladder, led by coach Imogen Pye. Great performance.

    Despite sitting one position outside the Blumers Lawyers George Tooke Shield (GTS) league tag top five, the Boorowa Roverettes are a team to watch.

    Led by coach Imogen Pye, Boorowa ended a three-game losing streak in Round Six by defeating the UC Stars 34-nil at Raiders Belconnen.

    Following a tough 16-6 loss to the strong Cootamundra Bullettes outfit in Round Seven, Boorowa came out and put the sword to North Canberra in Round Eight, winning 36-4 at Boorowa Showground.

    Eliza Taylor shone in the six tries to one victory, scoring four of her own as Boorowa moved to within one competition point of the fifth-placed Bears.

    Rolling Raiders dominate in Elimination Final

    Rolling Raiders beat Tigers 60-30, advance to final against Parramatta on June 23.

    The Rolling Raiders progress to the preliminary final after a 30-point thrashing over the Wests Tigers in an eliminator. 

    Traveling to Menai Indoor Sports Centre last Sunday, the Raiders secured a dominant 60-30 victory, bringing them one step closer to the grand final while simultaneously ending the Tigers' season.

    In an impressive attacking display, Zac Carl rolled over for a whopping five tries, Chris O'Brien secured a hat-trick, and Toby Popple and Brad Burns each added a try.


    The Raiders will face the Parramatta Eels this Sunday, June 23, at 4pm in a massive preliminary final at the Menai Indoor Sports Centre.
