    Cootamundra look to secure George Tooke Shield minor premiership in clash against Bungendore Tigers.

    Cootamundra can put one hand on the George Tooke Shield minor premiership this Saturday when the Bulldogs host the Bungendore Tigers in Round 11 at Les Boyd Oval.

    In a clash of the titans, the top-of-the-table Bulldogs will be looking to kick clear of the second-placed Tigers.

    Cootamundra head into the match on the back of a six-game winning streak, including a Round Ten 70-nil flogging of North Canberra.

    The Rolling Raiders achieved the fairytale ending to their inaugural NSW Cup Wheelchair Rugby League season as they lifted the trophy after a triumphant Grand Final victory.

    The Raiders rolled into Menai Indoor Sports Centre on Sunday and secured a dominant 50-36 victory over the minor premiers and competition favourites, the St George Illawarra Dragons.


    The unlikely premiers from Canberra had finished last in the four-team competition but remarkably went on a stunning run in the finals to earn their place in the Grand Final.

    UC Stars club stalwart Dave "Tizzle" Turner is the bridge that links the old with the new in the short but eventful history of the University of Canberra (UC) Stars.

    Back in 2009, Turner was playing rugby union in Canberra and not overly happy in the 'other code'. The timing was right to form a rugby league team with a few of his Australian National University (ANU) mates.
