    Sharks hold out Bushrangers comeback

    Belconnen United Sharks defeat Tuggeranong Bushrangers after holding off second half comeback. Dominant performance.

    The Belconnen United Sharks take the two points after holding out an inspired second half comeback from the Tuggeranong Bushrangers at Greenway Oval.

    The Sharks were dominant for the majority of the match, finding themselves up 16 points after 50 minutes, before the Bushrangers found their feet in the contest and forced an exciting finish.

    Belconnen dominated field position early, with their forwards rolling up the field and getting to the end of their sets for halves Matt Woolnough and Zac Patch to kick into the corners before jamming Tuggeranong in their end.

    Two heavyweights will do battle when the Cootamundra Bullettes host the Binalong Brahmans in their Round Six Blumers Lawyers George Tooke Shield league tag match at Les Boyd Oval on Saturday.

    Two of the best-attacking teams meet in a match promising fireworks and plenty of tries, and it could very well come down to a litany of weapons on both sides.

    Keep an eye on star player Annie Kent, who is currently leading the competition with an impressive 11 tries.

    In Round Five, Binalong's custodian delivered a stunning performance, scoring an incredible five tries against Boorowa.
