    Hawkettes flying high ahead of premiership defence

    Harden Hawkettes dominate GTS League Tag with five premiership wins, strong performance consistently.

    If wins and premierships measure success, the Harden Hawkettes will struggle to find an equal in any competition in the ACT or NSW.

    A juggernaut of the Blumers Lawyers George Tooke Shield (GTS) League Tag competition since its inception in 2014, the Hawkettes have qualified for eight of a possible nine Grand Finals, winning five in the process when lifting the trophy in 2016, 2018, 2019, 2022, and 2023.

    Harden capped off another terrific season last year, losing just one regular-season game before defeating the Cootamundra Bullettes 10-nil in a thrilling Grand Final.

    Reigning premiers prove too strong for debuting Rolling Raiders

    Entice Travel Rolling Raiders debut season saw them fall short to Parramatta Eels 44-32.

    The Entice Travel Rolling Raiders commenced their inaugural Wheelchair Rugby League NSW Cup season, falling short in a tight contest against defending premiers Parramatta Eels 44-32 in Menai on Sunday.

    The Raiders rolled into Menai Indoor Sports Centre with a point to prove that they'll be competitive in their inaugural NSW Cup season.

    Coming up against last year's premiers provided the perfect opportunity to prove themselves, and they didn't shy away from the challenge. 

    The Raiders held Parramatta to a 32-32 score line until the dying minutes, before the Eels showed their experience to get the job done.

    The Boorowa Rovers will call on an entirely local group of players to defend their Blumers Lawyers George Tooke Shield title in 2024.

    Still on a high following their 22-8 win over the Crookwell Green Devils in last year's decider, the Rovers will rely upon some youthful exuberance as they prepare for another campaign.

    "A lot of people are still talking about the win; it was a pretty big buzz," said Boorowa captain/coach Alex Stewart.

    "Most of the boys have come back; some have retired and moved on, but we've got seven or eight younger blokes coming through, and they're keen.
