The Monaro Colts made history on Sunday, claiming their first ever Laurie Daley Cup title after defeating the Northern Tigers 28-18 in a thrilling decider. 

While Monaro's Men's Country Championships side put up a good fight but couldn't get the job done against the Newcastle Rebels, losing 20-4 in a hard fought grand final matchup.

The Monaro Colts are in pursuit of glory in the Men's Country Championships and the Laurie Daley Cup, as both sides shape up for their Grand Final clashes this Sunday in Cessnock.

Monaro will face the Newcastle Rebels in the Men's Country Championships, while the Laurie Daley Cup side come up against the Northern Tigers. 

Both matches will be played at Cessnock Sportsground with the Laurie Daley Cup side kicking off at 12:15pm, followed by the Men's Country Championships at 2:00pm. 

Both games will be LIVE on NSWRL TV via subscription.

The Monaro Colts have made the Grand Final in both the Men's Country Championships and Laurie Daley Cup being played this Sunday in Cessnock. 

In what were both tightly contested semi-final matchups, the Monaro MCC side edged Northern Rivers 12-8, while the LDC side redeemed themselves against Central Coast after losing to them in round one, defeating the Roosters 26-18. 

The MCC side are looking to put the cherry on top of what has been a massively improved campaign compared to 2023 when they suffered a big round one loss to the Riverina Bulls.
