    Monaro Colts Johns & Daley Cups: Round Four Wrap

    It was Monaro's day on Sunday, as the Colts got the win in both the Andrew Johns & Laurie Daley Cups against the Macarthur Wests Tigers. 

    The Andrew Johns Cup side record their first win of the season, while the Laurie Daley Cup side continue their winning streak, making it three in a row heading into the final round.

    The Monaro Colts are yet find their feet in the Andrew Johns Cup, while the Laurie Daley Cup side picked up back-to-back dominant wins.

    The first half was tightly contested, with the opposition only managing to break through Monaro's defence on two occasions, leaving the Colts trailing 12-0 at the break.  

    The Colts reduced the margin at the start of the second half with a try through winger Sebastian Jones.

    The University of Canberra (UC) Stars rugby league club is looking for players with all levels of experience to join their women's tackle team in 2024.

    Newly appointed coach Stuart McLennan, who recently guided the Greek women's team to victories in the European Championships and the Balkan Cup, encouraged ladies in Canberra to "give UC a go" if they are thinking of playing rugby league.
