    The CRRL is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Queanbeyan Kangaroos club legend, Ian Baker.

    A lifelong contributor to the Kangaroos since their inception in 1969, Ian most recently served as club president from 2020 to 2023, continuing a remarkable legacy of dedication and leadership.

    Ian was one of the club's foundation junior players, inspiring his younger brothers - David, Neil, Michael, and Ashley - to also don the Kangaroos jersey.     Slavin Hat-Trick Leads Sharks to First Win

    Belconnen United Sharks defeat Gungahlin Bulls 34-24 in 2025 campaign launch; Slavin and Newcombe stand out.

    The Belconnen United Sharks have launched their 2025 campaign with a 34-24 win over the Gungahlin Bulls at NSWRL HQ.

    In an early back-and-forth battle, the Bulls were let down by defensive lapses and handling errors, allowing the Sharks to build a commanding lead before Gungahlin clawed back late to add respectability to the scoreboard.

    Sharks back rower Jay Slavin and Bulls centre Blake Newcombe were standouts, both crossing for hat-tricks for their respective teams.
