    Terrific Tigers claim GTS title

    Bungendore Tigers won the 2023 George Tooke Shield title, overcoming past defeats, with a dominating victory.

    Winning their first title since 2015 while erasing the memory of their 2020 and 2022 defeats, the Bungendore Tigers are again the Blumers Lawyers George Tooke Shield champions.

    Playing in front of a bumper home crowd at Mick Sherd Oval, Bungendore dominated large chunks of the contest, defeating the Harden Hawks 30-10.

    Discipline cost the Tigers early, and on the back of two penalties, Harden was able to cross first, with Austin Power setting up a blindside attacking raid, which was finished off nicely by Ryan Daley.

    Hawkettes claim third consecutive premiership

    Harden's Hawkettes won their third straight title, beating Crookwell 10-6 in the GTS decider at Bungendore.

    Harden's league-tag juggernaut rolled on at Bungendore's Mick Sherd Oval on Saturday as the Hawkettes won their sixth title since 2016 and third consecutive premiership, defeating Crookwell 10-6 in an entertaining Blumers Lawyers GTS decider.

    Playing in blustery conditions, both sides were gifted attacking field position in the opening minutes.

    The first team to strike was Harden after dynamic centre Georgia Smith sprinted the best part of 80m after breaking Crookwell's line.
