    The Queanbeyan Blues enter the 2026 season as the team to beat this season after claiming the premiership against their archrivals in dramatic fashion last year.  

    In the Katrina Fanning Shield, the Blues return to the competition after injuries saw them withdraw halfway through the season.

    Gungahlin Bulls: Season Preview

    The Gungahlin Bulls aim for finals in both leagues under new leadership, while the Ladies League Tag seeks to defend their championship.

    After an improved season last year, the Gungahlin Bulls will be aiming to qualify for their first Blumers Lawyers Canberra Raiders Cup finals series since 2021 under the new leadership of Captain Coach Matt Frawley and Josh Hardy. 

    In the Katrina Fanning Shield, a fifth placed finish last season saw them miss out on finals action after finishing runners up the year prior and will be desperate to return to the top four.  

    Whilst the Ladies League Tag enters 2026 as the defending premiers after a 12-0 victory against the Rams in the Grand Final and after years of chasing the title, they won't be giving it up easily.

    The Belconnen United Sharks aim for the finals in 2026 after recent setbacks, bolstered by the signing of Gideon Afemui.

    The Belconnen United Sharks have their sights set on returning to the top four of the Blumers Lawyers Canberra Raiders Cup after missing out on finals for the first time in three years in 2025.

    In the Katrina Fanning Shield, after making the Grand Final in their second season the Sharks will be looking to use that experience to go one better in 2026, while the League Tag squad are aiming to build up on a disappointing season last year.  

    After finishing seventh last year, the Sharks have been bolstered by the signing of Gideon Afemui, who returns to the Blumers Lawyers Canberra Raiders Cup after a stint with the Sunshine Coast Falcons.
