Raiders' star player Simi Sasagi faces a month out, complicating their NRL season while struggling for playoff contention.
This is not what Canberra Raiders fans want to hear.
Their best player of the 2026 NRL season is set to spend another month on the sidelines, especially when they're 14th on the NRL ladder and two wins outside the eight.
That's the update provided by Raiders centre Matt Timoko ahead of the Green Machine's crunch clash against the Eels in Parramatta on Saturday.
The Raiders will be without NSW duo Hudson Young and Ethan Strange, and Savelio Tamale (concussion), plus Timoko said Simi Sasagi (shoulder) was still a distance away from return.
