Rather than dominating the Lake Burley Griffin landscape, a lakeside stadium could complement the Commonwealth Park and aquatic centre master plan.
It could also enhance the Floriade experience, with the annual flower festival the main tenant of the park.
Those are the thoughts of AJ Bala, a director at DNA Architects, who was behind the April Fools' Day idea for a City Hill stadium.
It went viral and Bala labelled it a "conversation starter".
