    The Raiders NSW Cup side kept their final hopes alive after a 34-8 win over the Panthers at GIO Stadium on Saturday night.

    They now enter a sudden death round, where if they lose against the Jets their season will be over.

    Their team will be missing many of their mainstay players this week, with a number moving up to NRL for the last round of the regular season. Last week's try scorers Ethan Sanders and Matty Nicholson will both be missing from the side this weekend.

    After a lengthy stint on the sideline, 21 year-old second-rower Matty Nicholson is fit and ready to go as he returns to the NRL this weekend just in time for finals.

    Over from England's Warrington Wolves on a three-year deal, Nicholson was a standout performer for the Raiders for the first half of the season, scoring five tries in his first nine appearances.

    The NRL is facing a choice between taking on the All Blacks or the fury of the Canberra Raiders as they prepare for a final round headache with up to 10 teams still in contention for the top eight.
