Pat Carrigan makes a surprising return for Origin III, while Jeremiah Nanai and Corey Horsburgh earn call-ups for the Maroons.
Maroons workhorse Pat Carrigan is set to make a shock return for Origin III and Cowboys comeback kid Jeremiah Nanai has won a recall for the Suncorp decider on Wednesday week.
Carrigan was expected to miss the Origin series after undergoing ankle surgery last month but the Broncos lock has made a stunning recovery and will undergo a fitness test to play in the decider.
Meanwhile, the omission of Roosters prop Lindsay Collins due to a concussion against the Broncos last Friday night has opened the door for Nanai to rocket back into the Maroons side.
Nanai, who missed Origin I and II with injury, has featured in the past four series for the Maroons and sealed his recall with a fine display in the Cowboys' shock defeat of Penrith on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, Raiders ironman Corey Horsburgh has also won a call-up and will be vying for a place on the six-man bench, but is likely to be relegated to 20th man duties.
