    Raiders go down in tight loss to Titans

    The Canberra Raiders lost 26-20 to the Gold Coast Titans, marking their first away defeat this season, despite a late comeback effort.

    The Canberra Raiders have tasted defeat on the road for the first time this season, falling to the Gold Coast Titans 26-20 at Cbus Super Stadium.

    With both teams being afforded early field position off the back of a handful of errors on both sides of the ball, neither team were able to make an impression on the scoreboard.

    Looking to play an expansive brand of footy, Canberra's forward pack set a solid foundation in the middle of the field off the back of strong carries and physical defence.

    Isabella Waterman took matters into her own hands in the 11th minute, soaring above Indie Bostock off the back of a pinpoint Zahara Temara bomb, before finding Elise Simpson on her outside for the opening points of the match.

    The Canberra Raiders are on a three-game winning streak, aiming for their first finals in NRLW history while challenging top teams in the competition.

    Three wins on the trot to the tune of a combined score of 101-26 have the Green Machine purring towards a first ever finals series in their fourth year in the NRLW.

    Back in 2023, the Canberra Raiders stepped into the NRLW - with no history, no silverware, and an array of strong competition standing in their way.

    They missed the finals narrowly in their debut season, finishing fifth as the top four qualified for the post-season, before sliding to seventh in 2024 and 11th last year.

    As with any new team, there are bound to be a few ups and downs, and that has definitely been the case for the Raiders.

    After winning their first two games this season, the Raiders then lost to the Roosters, Sharks and Cowboys to slip to 2-3.

    The Toyota Forklifts Canberra Raiders NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg sides wrapped up the regular season on Saturday afternoon with a win and a loss at Seiffert Oval.

    The Raiders NSW Cup side scored a brilliant 50-20 win over Parramatta in the final game of the regular season.

    The Raiders started the game on fire, when front rower Jesse Milin crossed the stripe in the second minute.

    The Eels hit back with a pair of tries but Canberra held a strong 22-10 lead at the break.

    It was all one-way traffic in the second 40, with eight different try scorers crossing for tries as the Raiders finished their season on a high.
