Sheridan makes No.1 jersey her own in rousing Raiders debut
Sheridan Gallagher impressed in her debut as fullback for the Raiders, winning against the Dragons.

Everyone likes to impress on debut for their new club and Sheridan Gallagher not only ticked that box she did it in a completely new position - fullback.
The 24-year-old former Knight looked comfortable and dangerous in her first outing for the Raiders in a 20-4 defeat of the Dragons at Kogarah on Saturday.

Having won a premiership (2023) and scored 25 tries on the wing in three years at Newcastle, Gallagher travelled to the national capital for a shot at the No.1 jersey having never played or trained in the position at the Knights.
Elise Simpson had held that spot for the past two seasons for the Canberra Raiders before three-way conversations between themselves and coach Darrin Borthwick.

Raiders score big win over Dragons to kick off 2026 NRLW season
The Canberra Raiders started their 2026 NRLW season with a decisive 20-4 win against the Dragons.

The Canberra Raiders have kicked their 2026 NRLW campaign off with a bang, with a 20-4 triumph over the St George Illawarra Dragons at Kogarah.
With multiple girls debuting for the Raiders, it was also Simaima Taufa's 50th NRLW game, and the team were keen to get the win for not only their co-captain but to begin their season the right way.

With a knock on from Zahara Temara in the opening seconds, the Dragons made some strong metres in their opening set, but it was Teagan Berry in the first minute who put it down just on the white line out of a pass from Ruby-Jean Kennard-Ellis in dummy half.
