Raiders gallant in preliminary final loss to Roosters
The Canberra Raiders lost 20-10 to the Sydney Roosters in the Preliminary Final, missing the chance for a Grand Final.

The Canberra Raiders fell 20-10 to the Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium in Saturday night's Preliminary Final.
The Raiders entered the matchup brimming with confidence and excitement as they fought for a position in the Grand Final against the undefeated Minor Premiers.
The Raiders took the ball strongly off the kick-off and rallied together to make an early impact. However, the Roosters received an early penalty that resulted in a try in the corner by Jayme Fressard in the opening two minutes. A failed conversion held the score at 4-nil.
After the Raiders fell just short of the try line, Isabelle Kelly made a line break, and a try-saving tackle by Sheridan Gallagher on the Rooster resulted in a penalty.

The Australian Rugby League Commission and the Prime Minister the Hon Anthony Albanese MP have today announced the Australian Men's and Women's Prime Minister's XIII squads to take on PNG PM's XIII teams at Santos National Football Stadium in Port Moresby on Saturday, October 3.
The Men's Prime Minister's XIII features some of the rising talent from the 2026 NRL season, including Dragons twins Ryan and Toby Couchman and their fellow teammate Hamish Stewart, as well as established stars Rabbitohs second rower David Fifita and the Bulldogs' Lachlan Galvin.
The Women's Prime Minister's XIII is once again an incredible showcase of young talent, including Sharks fullback Jada Taylor, Cowboys lock Bree Chester and Dragons enforcer Ahlivia Ingram.

Mounties face Knights in the NSW Women's Premiership Grand Final after a strong season turnaround, featuring experienced NRLW players.

The Raiders NRLW feeder club Mounties will take on the Newcastle Knights in Saturday afternoon's NSW Women's Premiership Grand Final at Commbank Stadium.
The Mounties overcome a challenging start to the season to earn a spot in the decider. They began the season with three straight losses before the Raiders players joined the squad in round four and turned the season around. Since then, the team has won 10 out of 11 games and charged their way into the top four in time for finals.
The side enters the Grand Final off the back of a close 20-18 victory over the Rabbitohs last week. Five-eighth Sereana Naitokatoka is credited with the winning play when she delivered a brilliant one-on-one strip which led to the match-winning try by Gabriella Savage in the final minutes.
