    Raiders women taken down by Sharks

    The Canberra Raiders lost 22-10 to Cronulla Sharks in a defensively challenging NRLW match.

    The NRLW Canberra Raiders have gone down against the Cronulla Sharks 22-10 in the first match of Saturday's triple header at GIO Stadium.

    With both teams looking to bounce back after deficits in round three, it was a defensive battle from the beginning.

    It was Cronulla's Cassie Staples who opened up the scoring in the corner following an offside penalty which led to her breaking through the Raiders' defence. An unsuccessful conversion saw the score 4-0.

    Following a kick from Shreidan Gallagher, it was eyes up football from Elise Simpson who scooped up the ball and went straight over with no defenders in sight for Canberra's first points.

    The Raiders Jersey Flegg Cup team staged a comeback, winning 28-26 against the Rabbitohs.

    The Toyota Forklifts Canberra Raiders NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg sides recorded a win and a loss over the weekend at home against the Rabbitohs.

    The Raiders Jersey Flegg Cup scored a brilliant 28-26 comeback victory over the Rabbitohs at Raiders Belconnen on Sunday afternoon.

    The visitors started strong, bouncing out to a 22-6 lead at the halftime break.

    With it all to do, the Raiders started the half strong with two tries to Hardy Glover and Alex Hardy to close the lead to 26-16.

    Canberra continued their momentum, spreading the ball sideline to sideline before both big men Jayze Tuigamala and Shalom Uatisone crashed over to hit the lead and claim victory for the Green Machine.

    Raiders continue hot streak with big win over Rabbitohs

    The Toyota Forklifts Canberra Raiders won 34-24 against the Rabbitohs, achieving their third consecutive victory.

    The Toyota Forklifts Canberra Raiders have won three in a row, claiming a 34-24 win over the South Sydney Rabbitohs at GIO Stadium in a Saturday afternoon showdown.

    With the Green Machine looking to keep their top-eight hopes alive, they came out with strong, establishing sets.

    But with the in-form Rabbitohs pushing back, it was a physical contest from the beginning.

    After a six again was awarded in the middle of the field for a ruck infringement, the ball moved down the left side in short, sharp passes, but it was Ethan Strange who made a linebreak to pass to Owen Pattie for the young hooker to cross over for four points.

    A successful conversion from Sanders saw the score open to 6-nil.
