The Canberra Raiders claimed a crucial win against the St George Illawarra Dragons in a game that featured a handful of controversial moments.
Xavier Savage's double in the 24-16 win was praised by teammate Hudson Young.
"We let ourselves down throughout the year letting too my soft tries in so we talked about showing up for each other," Young said post-game.
"[Savage] is a freaky player and you get that off the back of great defence. Massive for X, being in the right place at the right time.
"The feeling at the club has been really strong and I'd like to thank our fans and members for keeping on turning up for us."
