    Corey Horsburgh rejects Wests Tigers offer to stay with Canberra Raiders after successful end of season.

    Corey Horsburgh has knocked back a three-year deal to join Wests Tigers to stay put in the nation's capital.

    Horsburgh was the unlikely hero in Canberra's last-gasp 26-24 win over the Dragons on Saturday, scoring the match-winning try with a kick and regather.

    The one-time Maroons prop had requested permission to explore his options despite still having three years to run on his Canberra deal.
    But after being recalled to first grade for the final three games of the season - all of which the Raiders won - Horsburgh decided to remain a Raider.

    Raiders coach Ricky Stuart has revealed there's "nothing personal" between him and Corey Horsburgh amid rumours of a fractured relationship following the back rower's matchwinning try against the Dragons.

    Trailing by four points with minutes on the clock, the one-time Origin representative put in a grubber which ultimately landed in his hands to score a four-pointer that stunned the Red V.

    The 26-year-old has played only five NRL games this season, with injuries and suspensions keeping him sidelined for extended periods.
