Hughes Returns Soon After Injury Setback

Jahrome Hughes will likely miss 1-3 weeks due to a low-grade hamstring injury sustained in the Storm's win over the Raiders.

    LeagueNews.co

The Melbourne Storm have announced that Jahrome Hughes' time on the sidelines will be brief, as he has been diagnosed with a low-grade hamstring injury.

This injury occurred toward the end of Melbourne's dominant victory over the Canberra Raiders on Sunday, where they triumphed 42 to 20.

Hughes exited the game with only eight minutes remaining, and the New Zealand international is expected to miss anywhere from one to three weeks.

Typically, low-grade hamstring strains require careful management, and Hughes is anticipated to return to the field in the upcoming weeks, depending on his recovery.

NSW should change their State of Origin team, embracing their tradition to improve chances of winning.

    The Canberra Times

Why is there even a debate over this? Yes, NSW should make wholesale changes to their team for State of Origin III. It's the NSW way. It's always been the NSW way and there's no reason to stop now.

In fact, there's every reason to keep going that way. Who knows, if they do they might actually get closer to the team they need to win this thing.

There's nothing wrong with making a lot of changes. These are elite players, the understanding develops quickly in a training camp.

Don't believe that Queensland rubbish about loyalty and picking and sticking being the way to go when it comes to team selections.
