We love the mighty Canberra Raiders
The Raiders are walking into the dangerous territory of looking “bitter” as the club continues to reel from the loss of Jack Wighton, according to former Test captain Michael Clarke.
The worst kept secret in rugby league was further confirmed on Tuesday with the star playmaker reportedly dropping the bomb on the Raiders that he is leaving to take up a long-term deal with South Sydney.

The Canberra Raiders will back Jack Wighton to fuel their own finals campaign despite a looming move to South Sydney supposedly designed to give him a better chance at premiership glory.
Wighton has spurned multi-million dollar offers from the Raiders and Dolphins to link with the Rabbitohs from 2024, sacrificing a ballpark figure of $1 million over four years to chase a title with close friend Latrell Mitchell.
The 30-year-old's name will stay in the headlines for a few days yet - because he has been named at five-eighth to face Wayne Bennett's Dolphins in Wagga Wagga on Saturday afternoon.
Jack Wighton’s decision to turn his back on the Raiders and sign with South Sydney raises more questions than it answers.
The four-year $4.4 million deal offered by the Raiders was the biggest in the club’s history.
Instead of taking this offering, Wighton has signed with the Rabbitohs for less.
