Revealed: Raiders ramp up contract talks to keep superstar forward
Hudson Young discusses contract options as Raiders seek to extend his deal and prevent free agency.

Raiders star Hudson Young has opened up about his contract options after Canberra officials made a key move in a bid to prevent him from entering free agency.
It can be revealed that Young's agent Sam Ayoub was in Canberra last weekend meeting with coach Ricky Stuart and club chief executive officer Don Furner.
It was on the sidelines of a first grade footy match at Woden Park on Saturday that the trio got together, and the NSW Blues back-rower coming off contract after the 2027 NRL season was a key subject of discussion.
Young has declared his desire to continue to play under Stuart at the Raiders long-term.

Former Raiders junior one of four burglars who caused $20k of damage to WWII site
Burglars caused over $20,000 in damage at a heritage naval station, pleading guilty to aggravated burglary and property damage.

Burglars caused more than $20,000 of damage when trying to rip copper wiring from the floor of a heritage-listed naval station building.
The four men, James Gary Taylor, Wayne Robert Blundell, Bradley Clyde Booth and Brendan Palmer, 31, all pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary in company and damaging Commonwealth property by joint commission.
The Belconnen Naval Transmitting Station, established in 1939, was integral to naval communications during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War, and played a significant role in defending the Australian mainland.
The Commonwealth heritage-listed site in Lawson is owned by Defence Housing Australia and the station was decommissioned in 2005.

Injury has opened the Origin door for two more Canberra Raiders - Corey Horsburgh and Tom Starling.
Pat Carrigan (ankle) and Blayke Brailey (arm) have both been ruled out for game two - at the MCG on June 17.
Queensland coach Billy Slater called the Raiders' win over North Queensland for Channel Nine on Sunday, so he got a close look at how Horsburgh performed.
