Gold Coast Titans hand contract upgrade to young hooker
Oliver Pascoe, QLD Cup's best, signs two-year Titans deal after impressive season with Ipswich Jets.

Two months after being named the 2025 Petero Civoniceva Medallist as the best player in the QLD Cup, dummy-half Oliver Pascoe has been rewarded with a new deal.
Joining an illustrious class that includes Cody Walker, Daly Cherry-Evans, Greg Inglis, Jamal Fogarty and Trai Fuller, Pascoe has been handed a two-year contract upgrade by the Gold Coast Titans.
The reigning QLD Cup best and fairest winner, the 26-year-old is coming off a tremendous campaign with the Ipswich Jets - the Titans' feeder club - in which he scored 15 tries, forced two drop-outs and provided six try assists and nine line-break assists in 22 appearances.
Starting in every single match he played, he also averaged 94 running metres per game, made 830 total tackles at a 93.2 per cent efficiency, and showed that he had a solid kicking game when needed.

Pitch invader pulls 'weird' stunt on Kangaroos as Raiders stars clash
A pitch invader disrupted the anthem at the Ashes Test, causing a bizarre scene.

There were bizarre scenes at the second Test in the Ashes series between the Kangaroos and England, with a notorious pitch invader crashing the anthem before a star Raiders duo went head-to-head.
The Australian rugby league side took a 2-0 series lead with a 14-4 victory at Everton, but when the national anthem was sung, skipper Cameron Munster found himself arm in arm with a random man called "Jarvo".
The pitch invader, Englishman Daniel Jarvis, has previously popped up uninvited at numerous other sporting events, and on Sunday he managed to sneak onto the pitch with the Kangaroos at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
