Ethan Strange may debut for NSW after Mitchell Moses' hamstring injury, stepping into the crucial No. 6 role.

    The Canberra Times

Canberra Raiders gun Ethan Strange is poised to be rushed into the NSW starting side for what would be a remarkable debut after the Blues were hit by Origin drama on Monday.

Five-eighth Mitchell Moses was sent for scans on his hamstring after feeling a strain at training. He is set to be ruled out of the series opener on Wednesday night.

That paves the way for Strange to be thrust into the No. 6 role after being on the Blues' extended bench.

It was unclear what role Strange would play or whether he would get on the field. But now he will play a pivotal role in the hopes of getting revenge against Queensland.
