    You've heard of grounds being shut because of wet weather for a day or two, but the reason behind this field being declared off-limits for 28 days might be the most wild yet.

    Preparations for junior soccer game at the Jerrabomberra Regional Sporting Complex were brought to a shuddering halt and the game moved to a different field when officials noticed a plover had laid an egg in the middle of the pitch.
