Green sausages are popular at Lindbeck's Butchery, celebrating Canberra Raiders' upcoming match with high sales.

Green sausages are the talk of the town, but there's no green eggs and ham in sight.

Since 1987 Lindbeck's Butchery has been making green sausages at their Queanbeyan shop in support of the Canberra Raiders.

Ahead of the Raiders' Friday 22 August match against the Penrith Panthers, green fever once again hit the butchery - with sales of the sausages starting one day earlier than planned due to demand, owner Peter Lindbeck said.

By the second of four days of sales, Thursday, Peter said they had already sold hundreds of kilograms.

"We'll probably make about 600 or 700 kilos, so we'll be getting up here," he told CD.

Kristian Woolf is set to unleash a double threat at fullback as the Dolphins confirmed five-eighth Kodi Nikorima is out of the clash with Manly.

"Kodi called in sick this morning," Dolphins coach Woolf said on Friday.

Raiders superfan Reuben Jones, the "dinosaur kid," enjoys attention and wears his costume proudly.

In no surprise to anyone, Raiders superfan Reuben Jones - aka "the dinosaur kid from Mudgee" - is loving his time in the limelight.

He's even decided to wear his dinosaur costume to Friday night's game between the Raiders and Panthers in his hometown - just so he can be recognised.

"I've got it packed and ready to go," Reuben, 10, said.
