Canberra Raiders coach Ricky Stuart has confirmed that the club will look to the open market to find a replacement for Jamal Fogarty, with the veteran halfback set to move to the Manly Sea Eagles at the end of the season.

Since he arrived in the nation's capital in 2022 from the Gold Coast Titans, Fogarty has been an instrumental part of the Raiders' success and has taken his game to a new level.

NRL CEO Abdo denies high shot crackdown; advocates club collaboration to reduce foul play.

NRL CEO Andrew Abdo has faced the music denying the NRL's high shot crackdown is actually a crackdown and calling on the clubs to work with the game to stop high contact.

"Let me first say it hasn't been a crackdown at all," Abdo said on NRL 360.

Two police officers claim they acted justifiably in punching NRL star Tom Starling during a brawl.

Two police officers claim they were justified in repeatedly punching an NRL star in the face because he put his hand on a service firearm during a wild brawl in a tiki bar.

Sergeant Evan Huw Prowse, 38, and Senior Constable Steven Lockwood Brown, 50, are fighting allegations they assaulted Canberra Raiders hooker Tom Starling during a 21st birthday outing in December 2020.

The now-26-year-old rugby league player had been with his parents and brothers Jackson, 29, and Josh, 24, at Shady Palms restaurant on the NSW Central Coast when his mother was allegedly insulted by a security guard.
