Kodi Nikorima, Briton Nikora and Fonua Pole have all escaped bans despite being sent to the sin bin on Sunday as part of the NRL's crackdown on high tackles.

It takes the full sum of the round eight's charge sheet to 19 players and 20 offences, totalling $17,350 in fines (assuming all players fined accept the charge and pay) and up to 23 weeks of suspensions.

All told, 18 players were sent to the sin bin across the eight matches in round eight.

The Canberra Raiders have started the biggest week of their season so far with a triple treat of good news after three stars avoided suspension ahead of a clash against the Melbourne Storm.

The charging Raiders secured one of the biggest comeback wins in their history when they rallied in the second half to beat the Dolphins 40-28 on Sunday.

The win threatened to come at a cost after Corey Horsburgh, Ethan Strange and Matty Nicholson were put on report for incidents as the NRL cracks down on high contact and crusher tackles.
